• Yes this would I used this with a older 970 also and it worked flawlessly this is like a all around cpu works very good with a 4060ti to so very much room for upgrades in the future

• Yes if you bought a new motherboard and ddr4 ram. The ryzen will not fit your motherboards socket. And will not support ddr3.
