Unlocked means it can be overclocked. You can lock the processor to whatever speed you like but i don't know why you would want to limit it. If you fully load all cores it won't boost beyond 4.0ghz on each core anyway.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unlocked refers to the CPU clock multiplier. If unlocked the CPU clock multiplier can be changed in the BIOS for overclocking. It is possible to underclock a cpu as well.
