I would not trust the idea of putting any 3rd gen ryzen cpu in a dell mobo. All the connections on the mobo are proprietary and the board will only support up to 32 gigs of 2400 ram. If it fits, which it should, I would imagine the bios would need to be flashed to support the 3rd gen chipset. Dell bios is notoriously difficult to flash, if it is even possible.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.From everything I can find, it appears the 1700x is the highest processor it can run. It would, at the least, need a BIOS update from Dell just to recognize the CPU, and such an update does not appear to exist.
