A:Answer The simple drop in watts and heat output is worth it alone. Not only are you getting a better processor on a newer architecture, but your a getting newer technologies that will smooth out any issues you may have had before.
To keep things simple, when we got rid of our FX processors, we didn't necessarily gain anything in speed, we gained stability and new capabilities that we didn't have before and game play is super smooth. I noticed you indicated that you had the GTX1080. You will notice a great increase in frames with the new processor and faster DDR4, but we just assumed that the 1080 was going to keep up. Upgrading to 2060 Supers tells us we were wrong. Lots of games and higher settings that the 1080 struggled with or had weird issues with disappeared by upgrading to the RTX 2060 Super.
