I would say that for the price and performance, AMD Ryzen is the best CPU on the market right now.
Intel will never really die, they will just make the move to another plane of existance. They will have to stop being complacent and have a fire for competition like AMD but who knows for sure? So long as they are still around we will keep getting better products for our money. Without competition we will have a monopoly and we all know what that means.
No, but as a consumer we can begin to see some amazing pricing and performance for blue and red as competition heats up.
intel who? LOL of course not! But thanks to AMD they're forced to offer a better product at a competitive price point.
It is indeed a very long fall from Mount Olympus after all. I image it might hurt a bit more now that they’re not the Gods they once were. Another way of looking at it would be- if Intel never existed, would AMD? There are hundreds of choices for nearly every market- with this exception. Personally I believe it’s healthy to have more than just one company that creates the worlds supply of CPUs, or Graphics Cards, etc. AMD is now King though. For sure.
They won't be if AMD can't get their act together and have CPU's in stock lol. I'm sitting on a pile of parts for a video editing built and the hold up is due to the Ryzen 9 3900x out of stock. #lame #amd I might have to build and Intel machine instead.
YES! XD
Trickz is incorrect. The 3900X has better single thread performance than the Intel equivalent
No - if you are a gamer, then the 9700K at $329 offers a better value especially when you consider the motherboards are cheaper than the new 570s.
No, Intel is not dead at all. AMD and Intel currently have 2 completely different "purpuses" Intel such as the 9700k or 9900k are still currently the better for purely gaming and maybe even streaming. However, AMD has more threads which is used for rendering, such as animations or video editing. You will have higher fps with intel, but can't edit three 4k footage files simultaneously as easily as you would be able to with an AMD. Also rendering the footage at the end will be quicker with the AMD. it doesn't mean you can't use an AMD for Gaming, you still can with only a minimal loss. However you'll be able to multitask a lot better with the AMD.
