I do not have a B550 gaming plus motherboard. The RYZEN 9 7950X processor requires an AM5 slot on the associated motherboard. The motherboard specifications should show the processor slot requirements and/or the processor types that it can handle.

No. The B550 is a AM4 board, while this CPU is an AM5. They're not backwards compatible. You'll also have to get a new set of DDR5 RAM to go along with this, since the B550 is DDR4 and the slots aren't compatable.

No. You need an AM5 socket board like the x670e.
