I think it would depend on the thickness of the case and the strength of the magnetic field. My wife cannot use this to charge her phone because she has one of the Pop Socket things on the back and it lifts it too far from the charger to work. I played with mine before writing this and sadly, I do not have a magnet thin enough to put between the phone and charger, but I was able to stack several N42 Neodymium Iron Boron magnets on the top before it affected the charger, I think I had a much higher magnetic field than you would have in your case,I think... Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You just need to make sure the metal piece for the magnetic holder is at the very top of the phone. Then place the phone on the charger with the top hanging off more, centered about 2/3 of the way down the phone.
