• It needs to be plugged into a power brick. The one that came with it failed on mine and I tried an iPhone plug and it wouldn’t work, had to use a larger one for my iPad to get it to charge so I don’t think a laptop would output enough to run it either.

• I just got this a few days ago. The wall adapter is required for the fast charging feature if your phone supports the fast charge technology. I’m using iPhone XS Max
