It's only 8000mah which may not seem like a lot of power but to me its 8 Amps which is no joke especially the the DC world. However if you are putting a constant drain on the battery it will depend on the current draw as to how much drain is occurring and battery life. Hope that helps.

I purchased this unit for its size(to be stoewd in a smaller place in the car) haven't had to try it on my phone. I hope I don't have that problem. I will check it out. Sorry that I could not help.
