Yes they can. Place and hold a finger on the sensor on either bud and wait for the audible indicator to sound. The tone you hear sounds like something powering down.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. Press and hold the button on each earpiece for 3-5 seconds. They will blink red then stop blinking either red or blue. That"s how you know they're off. No blue or red flashes/blinks.
