• This item does not has the transparency/hear-through mode, but you can change the sizes of the eartips you use to meet your need.

• I think that will depend on which size bud gel (sleeve) you choose to use. The set comes with 5 different sizes. I use the largest ones to block out as much noise as possible, but I can still hear some noise if the music / call isn't too loud.
