• I don't understand the "contrary to the description" part of the answer. EXACTLY per the description, this allows you to connect Bluetooth headphones and speakers to a non-bluetooth device by plugging it into the headphone jack and using this device as a Bluetooth transmitter.

• Contrary to the description this will only pair to BT headphones , earbuds or Speakers. If the dot has a headphone jack and your outdoor system has a BT receiver then yes, this will work. The best application of this device is to plug a home stereo into its input and you can xmit that audio to your BT headphones
