- Answer Double bag it to be sure. Most cases it’s not because stuff gets stuck to the outside of the first bag. But twice it travels perfect.

- Answer The bags need to have texture (air channels) on one of the internal surfaces. If you use a regular smooth plastic bag, the bag will just pinch shut and air can't get pulled out of the bag. I buy bulk packs of generic pre made vacuum bags online in various sizes. Faster than custom making bags from a roll and the large quantity generic packs are inexpensive. Just pay attention to the reviews and the thickness of the bags.

QuestionIs there an on off button, or is it supposed to heat up when you plug it in?

- Answer It only heats up when you turn the button on and sometimes I didn’t have my plastic bag in there correctly so I push the button before it sealed it and I was able to restart and correct it. It doesn’t tell you but you can also do a double seal you put it on there and burn it once take it out put it back in there and a fourth of an inch difference and burn again
