It has a separate seal button that you can use to seal the mylar bags with. But because mylar bags are smooth, the bags will pinch shut and the air won't get vacuumed out. To vacuum seal mylar bags, I insert the correct size oxygen absorber into the bag and then seal it with my sous vide's sealer or use a hand held iron. Give the bags about an hour or two and they will be vacuumed tight.
