When you select the length, choose something that will allow you to position the antenna near a window and run the wire along the wall so that it is out of the way. If you are going to mount it outside, then use a UV shielded coax wire with an environmentally shielded connector to prevent signal degradation and corrosion. Best Buy has a good selection of standard coax in store. When connecting the antenna, just make sure that you don't bend the needle in the middle of the wire. Enjoy!
