The Clearstream 4 Max is not designed for AM/FM signals. Sometimes FM signal comes in on the VHF element, but that is heavily dependent on where you are, where the antenna is, and where the FM tower is. If you specifically want to AM/FM reception, I recommend an antenna that is designed for those frequencies. Feel free to contact our Technical Support team for more support. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No good for AM but mine is working well for a really tough low power FM station with the back side of the antenna facing the transmitter. FWIW I bought it hoping to get more TV channels and that didn't happen but I wasn't too surprised as TV reception is VERY difficult in my area per all the websites like FCC etc. Considered returning it but figured I'd see how it worked for FM radio and I'm getting the four stations I care about so I'm keeping it. It took a good bit of moving and turning the antenna to find the sweet spot for the toughest station but once I did that reception was OK on that one and excellent on the other three. It seems to be quite directional for FM and that is an advantage in my case...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Geek Squad cane by and set the antenna then fine-tuned it. They charged $150 for their time and I paid $150 for the antenna. It works perfectly with HD picture and all. Just think! no $100 monthly fee for cable or Direct TV monthly charge. We like it!
