“I want to replace my cable, can no longer afford it. Will this get me local channels, and HGTV, games network. How hard is is to set up. Can I tape local programs. Is this all I need, if not what else should I get?”

I can’t answer that question for you, because in different areas it will vary depending on how far away the TV stations are. I am probably 50 to 75 miles away from the local channels and they come in crystal clear . The local channels are Streaming other channels. I get Metv a mystery channel several western channels, cozy channel, a game show channel, bounce and Several public channels, plus others. I am happy to get rid of that big satellite bill I was paying

There is a lot of great programming on subchannels. We are in St. Louis and get 57 free TV channels.
