QuestionI have had the Clearstream4Max for a year no problem, had to rescan for channels updating in our area, I did, worked fine, a few days later, no signals for local channels, but yet great reception on all other stations coming thru, Can you help?

- Answer I had a similar problem last year. All was well until one day I noticed some missing channels. Scanned and rescanned to no avail. Turned out that a lightening strike had fried the balun connector going from the antenna to the cable. Put on a new balun (matching transformer) and worked like new. If your antenna is mounted outdoors you might want to check on that. For a $5 piece it might be worth changing anyway just for curiosity.

Questioni will only be able to have my antenna about 10-12 ft high from the ground, how much will that effect my range of reception. towers are about 30 miles from me. what equipment will work best for this situation.

- Answer Check out TVFool.com and see where the majority of your channels are situated. Also, trees etc come into play. If all your channels are situated in the same direction, a directional antenna will be sufficient. Otherwise, check out all the other options.

- Answer Just a cable tv style coax. I recommend quad shielded coax only. There is no HD coax or cable that makes it higher resolution. It just a marketing gimmick.

- Answer I do not have mine install. The longest signal tower is 45 miles from my house. Hopefully I will get good reception. My installation is scheduled for the 30 June

- Answer No, most of those channels are available by subscription only. You can get network stations like CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, as well as some locals like PBS. Look on the website for the antenna and there may be a link where you can see what channels are available in your area or go to antenna web.com

- Answer No power needed. Place on top of camper when at campsite, then remove before you leave.It will fold if mounted.

- Answer It must be mounted to something; I use it outside, and mounted it on a short piece of 2X12 plank; it's quite stable.

- Answer I don’t see why not. I mounted this on the outside edge of my house and it works fantastic! Definitely download the antenna finder app so you can point it to the best antennas in your area.

- Answer I would have to say that the woods would not be the best location for a “line of sight” antenna. If you can get a clear path to a tower there would be a possibility, but I don’t know if it would be worth it for one or two channels that could be lost with a strong breeze.
