Which is better for range this or the Clearstream 5 null

I suppose both should be good. The range for either one will vary depending on obstructions like trees, buildings, mountains, or other interference, etc... You might need an amplifier between antenna and TV to get stations further away. I currently have my antenna amplified so I can get stations up to 75 miles away

They fill different needs. The Clearstream 4-V is better performer on UHF frequency with a narrow focused pick up path. The Clearstream 5 is a stronger VHF performer with a wider pick up path.
