We dropped Direct TV with no problem before hooking ours up
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it depends on what you're wanting and / or needing. With this antenna I am able to pick up all the local over-the-air digital and analog signals with little or no interference (extreme weather such as heavy rains or really high winds can affect the signal, but so can buildings and other tall structures; aiming the antenna is critical). What i don't receive are many of the basic cable / satellite channels, such as AMC, USA, TBS, HGTV, etc., and none of the premium or movie channels. I have dropped my cable company and switched to using Netflix and Hulu for movies and television shows I may have missed or want to catch up on later. I also use AppleTV to get a movie or show in which I may be interested purchasing. If you want some of the basic cable / satellite channels, there are services and equipment available, such as AppleTV or Roku. I believe Google has something, too. They also have options to purchase movies. To make a long story short, my costs for television service has been cut by over two thirds, and I am extremely happy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I dropped Comtrash within a week once i had this antenna. 44 FREE channels is plenty for me... Antenna and Netflix and im happy :)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This will only pick up regular broadcast local stations. No HBO, discovery, nfl network, ESPN or any"cable" channels. As long as you are within about 50 miles of the tv station, this will pick it up nicely.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Cutting the cable and putting up an antenna is only half of the equation. The antenna will pick up all the broadcast networks, but it will not provide the non-broadcast networks like History, TLC, Nat Geo, HGTV, etc. A streaming device and subscription to some providers like NetFlix, Hulu, and Sling TV will get many of these type networks but not likely all of them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, that is what I did. I dropped AT&T and now use this antenna for the core channels, and added Netflix for some movies and older shows.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I dropped Time Warner. I did not use the cable stations enough to justify cost. I am satisfied with the local channels.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.we did not have ant provider
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, that's why I bought it. I'm going to cut Direct TV off Monday. But, it's great for the network channels, but I got a Roku stick for Netflix and Disney ( free ) and HBO Now ( $15 ). Right now I'm paying $ 9 for Netflix, not $ 114.00 for Direct.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well it won't bring in all the cable channels like UVerse provides, but I was able to pick up over 30 channels from my location. I suppose the number of channels you can receive will depend on the location. When initially installed, it picked up about 5 channels. I positioned it to a window which made a significant difference.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
