“According to all signal maps I am in a bad location for antennae reception, at best I can expect a weak signal with a 30' antennae. Does anyone have any ideas for a solution that won't require an outdoor mounted antennae (apartment dweller)?”

I had purchased a 50 mile range indoor antenna that worked great. I was able to pick up stations from about 40 miles away. I would just recommend getting an indoor antenna that has an inline booster on it. Basically, that just means that you have to plug in the antenna.
