(use an online search engine to find a signal calculator for your address) you will most likely need a powered splitter or preamp. If you are in an apartment 50 miles away, in a hilly valley, have your antennas inside, have a four way splitter, have negative noise margin values, and over 100ft of coax, like myself, then you will need both a pre amp and distribution amp.
