“Can I use this for a monitor for my security system if I buy the cord with one end for USBc and the other end of cord for HDMI? My security DVR doesn't have a USB c port so I was wondering if I can connect with cord with HDMI/USBC on same cord.”

This monitor model E1659FWU comes with and uses USB 3.0 for video display and requires 2 USB ports for use to a compatible computer system.
