Not sure if it will work with a smartphone or not. It is powered via usb that also runs the video from your pc via that same usb cable. It does not need a separate power cable. Mine did come with a sleeve to carry the monitor and cable. It has a flip out stand in the back of it which is also where the usb port is. It does not have speakers.
