• Yes, the AOC 2590FX is a 144Hz capable monitor. To make sure it runs at max refresh rate, you will need a DisplayPort/DP cable. People report that they are able to set it to 144Hz with the included HDMI cable as well. HDMI will surely get you to 120Hz, as to 144Hz, see other Q&A. Then you will need to set the display adapter to the 144Hz manually. It is normally set to run at 60Hz, so you'll have to change it to 144Hz yourself. It's not complicated, perhaps you do know. Anyway, for anyone else, to do that, yone needs to enter Display Settings (right click on your empty desktop & you'll see that option), then go to Advanced Display Settings, then click on Display adapter properties under all the info, then on the newly opened window click on List All Modes, scroll and click on 144Hz, then Ok, then Apply (the screen will go black and then return), then confirm Keep Changes.
