Thank you for your inquiry. Yes the UPS will recharge the internal battery when it is connected to utility power. The battery will take about 16 hours to fully charge. If the green LED is flashing rapidly then the battery is low on the unit. If the green LED is still blinking after leaving it charge for 16 hours please contact APC directly at 1-800-800-4272 or email us at [email protected] for further troubleshooting.
