I'm sure it can, but the question would be for how long. This unit is on the smaller size and I'm not sure of the power draw of your particular television. That said, how much time would you need to keep your television on during a power outage? Will you be plugging in other devices such as a DVD player? All power drawing devices would need to be in the draw calculation to determine how long the battery will last under load.
