• Yes it can. You download the software to your computer then connect battery backup to Pc via USB. There are power save options and the option to modify the alarm including turning off

• NO - it screams until the power interruption is corrected or until you turn off the unit (removing power to all attached devices). I recommend you buy a different unit that will allow you to turn off the audible alarm. I like the APC 1500VA unit that has a dedicated button to silence the alarm (one push).

• Thank you for inquiry. Unfortunately the alarm can't be turned off on this unit. To have the ability to mute alarm on the unit you would need to go with an unit from our BackUPS Pro line.
