The upc expert implied (when answering this question) that this unit is a true sine wave output unit. It is not! In battery, it produces a Step-approximated sine-wave. Check the product pdf file for details.

If the projector doesn't require the pure sine wave output then you could go with something like the BX1500M instead. It would provide a similar runtime as the BN1500M2. Unless, you have a lot of power outages or use the projector non-stop, it might be more than what you need. But, if you are looking for power backup to keep the cool-down going during a power outage, yes this unit is a good choice.
