Laser printers pull a LOT of power - possibly damaging the battery inside the UPS. You wouldn't want to hook up a space heater to a UPS for the same reason. Besides, why would you want a battery backup for a printer? It holds no permanent data after it finishes printing. Even if the power went out while printing, you could reprint the image from your UPS backed up computer. My advice - get a separate surge protector for your printer, rated for the amount of power your printer uses (this is important to prevent fire hazards), and plug it into an AC outlet. Or just plug in the printer directly, and buy a new one if the old one gets fried by lightning. They're cheap enough.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mainly because of the tremendous voltage drain that’s activated when you print on a laser/Obed printer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. From what I know the power required for the printer is great and would decrease the battery life. A backup is used to give you time to shut down your equipment properly
