You will typically get about 2 hours of runtime for your load though that will go down over time as the batteries age. On the positive side small loads on the device will tend to make the batteries last longer as they will run cooler when needed to supply power. I would guess that the coax filter will probably passthrough but I have never tried it so I can't say for sure. Due to the shielded nature of the coax it generally won't need any additional filtering. The RJ45 connector on these units was designed for phone and network connections and is probably much more useful for phone lines.

If you move your TV to theater mode or high saturation the load draw is large to very large. So, the questions you need to ask yourself is, 1st: How did I set up my TV? 2nd, the Sat Unit brick/converter, how efficient is it? 75~93 minutes with an APC 1500VA. Smaller units = less run time. Not all APC have the RJ45 phone jack. They do have the coaxial surge protection and yes, I use it without issue. My SAT is POE+, so I am also aware of the danger of a surge thru the line.

Yes the coax connect on the UPS will protect the data lines coming from your satellite. Unfortunately this unit would not protect an ordinary phone line.
