“My APC BN700MC is making a high pitched constant tone. How do I determine if the battery just needs replacing, what replacement cartridge to use or if the unit needs to be replaced entirely? It was purchased 8/17/2013. thanks”

Dear Joy, Thanks for reaching out. The normal life of the battery should be anywhere from 3-5 years. If the power led is flashing red and green, along with sounding this continuous tone, then we would recommend replacing the battery. If the power led is off, then there may be something happening with with the unit itself. The replacement battery part number for the BN700MC is RBC17.
