“my apc ups-smart 1500 says "the battery is not connected please advise”

Out of the box, one of the leads will be disconnected on the battery. You will need to connect it. Also, the other may have come loose and should be checked that it is properly connected. This is done intentionally and should be noted in your owners manual.

Please try again later.If there is a battery fault than your unit will initially beep twice to indicate that the battery is disconnected and then beep continuously for one minute every five hours. If this occurs than the battery should be replaced, the replacement battery for your unit is the RBC6.
