IS THERE AN OPTION TO BUY INSURANCE FOR THE ITEM? null

I was not given an option to buy insurance for the surge protector. However, the surge protector (once registered online) gives you a warranty through the manufacturer.

I don't recall, my gut tells me, no. But if you add it to your cart it will automatically prompt you to choose if you want extra warranty. This is my experience from other items that I have purchased. Again, if there's an option for warranty, they always promt me, "Do you want to purchase the extended warranty?" Immediately as I hit the 'add to cart' button. I hope that helps you.
