Q: What is the clamping voltage? This device is good for more than one surge, correct?

A: The back of the surge protector says 400V for clamping power. Am disappointed since I bought this based on APC's answer claiming clamping power of 300V.

A: Thank you for inquiry. Yes the P11U2 does have indicator lights on it. It will have a green protection indicator lights to show the surge protector is capable of protecting equipment from harmful electrical surges. The overload indicator illuminates (yellow) when the unit is loaded above 12 amps. The building fault indicator illuminates (red) to show the building wiring is not properly installed, and may present a potential shock hazard.

Q: Is there a guarantee if SurgeArrest 11 is hit by a lightning strike that replacement of computer and other damaged equipment will be reimbursed and up to what $ dollar amount. If not, do you have a suggested type of suppressor to protect a $300 printer?

Q: Is the wall plug actually a right angle? I am needing to plug in this surge protector on the top plug of the outlet since the bottom plug is occupied.

A: I had the same concern. The power plug is offset 45 degrees from vertical which allows you to easily plug in another plug into the lower wall outlet receptacle.

Q: Can I mount this on my wall?

A: Yes, there are four mounting holes on the bottom/back of this unit that will allow you to mount it flat against your wall in any orientation. See attached image.

Q: I connected my PC to this and it lights up the yellow light. It doesn't light up for any other connections. Does that mean I should not connect the PC? Are PCs not supposed to be connected to power surge protectors? Thanks

A: Naren, I have model #P11U2 and my yellow light is for a indication of a Overload. "OVERLOAD Detection Indicator - illuminates (yellow) when the unit is loaded above 12 amps." Is the light on with no connections? Does the light come on with only the PC connected? Unless you have several high current draw devices connected I would suspect the surge protector to have a fault in its overload detection circuit. Does the PC work correctly when plugged into a wall outlet directly? Are you able to try another outlet in your home?

Holds a lot of chargers and spaces half of them!
I like this surge protector because it has 11 regular three prong plug in outlets. Six of the regular 3 prong outlets are spaced about one and one-quarter inches apart. Some of my chargers or power sources (for things like sound equipment) are between 2 inches wide or even 3 inches wide. I could wish that the 3 prong outlets are spaced even further apart. (Some people will have to change which of the plugs a charger is place in since sometimes the chargers will be too close together to fit.) But by having 6 of the 3 prong outlets that have extra space and are on either side of the surge protector, I can plug in all of my equipment. 5 of the 3 prong outlets in the middle are quite close together, so those need to be used for a standard plug. Don't forget there are also 2 USB outlets. It has an 8 foot cord and a light indicator. The surge protector plugs into the wall at a slant. I guess this is called a right-angle design. (All 3 prongs of the plug are used.) The nice thing about a slanted plug-in is that it does not block the other plug-in on the switch plate. Also, it was on sale so it was a good price and better than other products at that price.

A Welcome Upgrade
I purchased 2 of these to replace some non-functioning power strips that had become hazardous to use. I am very happy with this power strip and I have always been a user of APC products. The usb charge ports are not a fast charging type (at least according to my smart phone), but they work as advertised. The spacing and orientation of the outlets alloys for various types and sizes of power bricks or plugs to be used at the same time. I recommend these to anyone who needs a dependable power strip/surge protector. And yes this can be mounted to a bench or desk. One particular feature that you may like is the fact that the power switch cannot be accidentally used as it is recessed. I can't recall how many times my dog (Yes my dog) has accidentally stepped on a power switch, turning off a number of devices. This company has been in the business of power products for many years and is a brand I know I can trust to protect my electrical devices.

I have 2 of these units now The one pictured is used to protect all my video and sound equipment. Like how it has the ones on the side and different con figuration down the middle. The second one is connected to 3 electric recliners to protect the mechanism in them and some small electronics in the living room. Plugs are scarce is its handy to plug everything in.
