QuestionWhat is the clamping voltage? This device is good for more than one surge, correct?

- Answer The back of the surge protector says 400V for clamping power. Am disappointed since I bought this based on APC's answer claiming clamping power of 300V.

- Answer Thank you for inquiry. Yes the P11U2 does have indicator lights on it. It will have a green protection indicator lights to show the surge protector is capable of protecting equipment from harmful electrical surges. The overload indicator illuminates (yellow) when the unit is loaded above 12 amps. The building fault indicator illuminates (red) to show the building wiring is not properly installed, and may present a potential shock hazard.

QuestionIs there a guarantee if SurgeArrest 11 is hit by a lightning strike that replacement of computer and other damaged equipment will be reimbursed and up to what $ dollar amount. If not, do you have a suggested type of suppressor to protect a $300 printer?

QuestionIs the wall plug actually a right angle? I am needing to plug in this surge protector on the top plug of the outlet since the bottom plug is occupied.

- Answer I had the same concern. The power plug is offset 45 degrees from vertical which allows you to easily plug in another plug into the lower wall outlet receptacle.

- Answer Yes, there are four mounting holes on the bottom/back of this unit that will allow you to mount it flat against your wall in any orientation. See attached image.

QuestionThe overload indicator light sometimes goes on even if I don't have anything plugged in. It always goes on when I have more than three things (even small items like lights and phone chargers). Do I have a defective unit?

It would turn yellow if the connected equipment is pulling over 12 amps. If it is going on when nothing is connected there may be something on with unit. QuestionI connected my PC to this and it lights up the yellow light. It doesn't light up for any other connections. Does that mean I should not connect the PC? Are PCs not supposed to be connected to power surge protectors? Thanks

- Answer Naren, I have model #P11U2 and my yellow light is for a indication of a Overload. "OVERLOAD Detection Indicator - illuminates (yellow) when the unit is loaded above 12 amps." Is the light on with no connections? Does the light come on with only the PC connected? Unless you have several high current draw devices connected I would suspect the surge protector to have a fault in its overload detection circuit. Does the PC work correctly when plugged into a wall outlet directly? Are you able to try another outlet in your home?

- Answer I don’t have an XBox, but do have my TV, Sound Bar, DVD player, Bose Radio, and Cable box all plugged into it. All are working just fine. I had replace the old one because it was fried when a power outage took place. Could not handle the surge of power I guess. This one can.

- Answer Thank you for your interest in our products. It would work with the freezer. However just be aware if the freezer pulls more than 12 amps it would overload the surge protector. You would want to make sure it doesn't draw more than 12 amps.

- Answer Thank you for reaching out. Our surge protectors and UPS units all require connection to a grounded outlet. Our units have a site wiring fault led which will come on if one of the 3 following conditions exists: The Site Wiring Fault (SWF) LED light is only present on 120V UPS and Surge products. On APC UPS products this indicator is typically on the rear panel. The purpose of this indicator light is to warn you that there are problems with your building wiring that may result in a shock hazard. APC recommends that you have a qualified electrician inspect your wiring for one or more of the conditions listed below. Reasons why the Site Wiring Fault (SWF) LED light will illuminate: Overloaded neutral wire (>5 Volts AC measured between Neutral and Ground). Reversed polarity (hot and neutral wires are reversed). Missing ground wire. (Note: this also includes using a 3 prong to 2 prong adapter)

- Answer The product description is wrong on both Bestbuy and APC’s website and should be corrected. They state that this model (P11U2) has data-line protection, but it does not. I purchased two based on that incorrect information and to return them.

QuestionDo the plugs go in all the way? I saw what looks like the same item on an online retailer. Numerous reviews there said the plugs don't go in all the way, leaving a gap with exposed metal.
