“Are the telephone ports RJ11 jacks? Will plugging in a RJ11 to RJ45 wire from a router to the tele in port and then one of the out ports to a computer ethernet port with another RJ11 tp RJ45 cable work to transmit the ethernet data signal?”

Thank you for your interest in our products. The RJ-11 jacks on the unit would only work with phone lines. It would not work correctly with RJ-45 connections. I apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.In theory it sjould but it all depends on the wiring configuratiion. I would suggest you give it a try. You will elther A full & proper connectiin. A partial connection - this would be due to the wiring in the sockey. OR No connectiom whatsover. This would mean you would have to buy the appropriate data switch and plugging the power cord into this power switch to protect in times of a pitential power surge. I have used CAT6 RJ45 ports to connect the RF11 fax line of office copiers before and all worked fine. Hope this helps
