A:AnswerThank you for your interest in our products. The P11VT3 would come with a equipment protection policy of $100,000 for the lifetime of the unit. Yes the unit would protect from surges on the coax line and power connection. You would want to make sure the cable connection is connected to the surge protect as well since a surge can come through that as well.
A:AnswerThank you for your inquiry. Yes the surge protector will protect from large voltage spikes. However just note it will not clean up the power coming from the generator. To clean up the power you would need something like UPS or a power conditioner.
A:AnswerThank you for your interest in our products. The RJ-11 jacks on the unit would only work with phone lines. It would not work correctly with RJ-45 connections. I apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
A:AnswerThank you for your interest in our products. I recommend checking out our BackUPS and BackUPS Pro line. These units would provide a battery backup if the power is cut and provide surge protection to the connected equipment. The size would really depend on how much power the equipment draws. A:AnswerThank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately we do not have a surge protector that GFCI protection on it. I apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
A:AnswerClosed circuit means a complete electrical connection around which current flows or circulates. When you have a series of electrical wires connecting to each other and completing a circuit so that current travels from one end of the circle to the other, this is an example of a closed circuit.
An open circuit is one where the continuity has been broken by an interruption in the path for electrons to flow. A closed circuit is one that is complete, with good continuity throughout. A device designed to open or close a circuit under controlled conditions is called a switch.
A:AnswerThank you for inquiry. They are both from the same family of surge protectors but the P11VNT3 has Ethernet data line protection available on it. The P11VT3 would only have telephone and the coax line protection.
A:AnswerThank you for your inquiry. If the building surge light is on it means that the surge protector detects a site wiring fault in the outlet. You can check out the knowledge base article below for more information on the error message. I would try swapping the unit into another outlet to see if the issue persists.

A:AnswerThank you for your interest in our products. The P11VT3 does have a resettable circuit breaker on it that will be triggered if the surge protector is overload. It will trip instead of stripping the house breaker. You would reset the circuit breaker by removing the connected equipment from the unit then flip the on/off switch back to ON.
