I have bought this iPad and have it at home already—the box itself and the software (in the settings on the iPad itself) it states that it is indeed the latest, 7th Generation iPad. Maybe the model number is wrong on the website? If and when you buy it, just double check the back of the box, because it will clearly say “7th Generation”. I also have the 6th and 5th Generation iPads and their boxes say the same things, respectively.

This is the 7th gen iPad. As of this time (7/2020), the 8th generation has not been released. (expected release is around 9/2020) MW742LL/A corresponds to the 32 GB Wi-Fi-only iPad.

This is not the latest model. The latest models start at 128GB and are the eighth generation.
