Here’s the thing: in general, mobile devices (phones and tablets) do not come with cases. This is standard across the industry. I can’t remember ever buying a cell phone that came with case. And I’ve been buying Cell phones for the last 25 years. If you look around, there are a variety of different types of mobile device cases that are out there and available, ranging from very flimsy to very sturdy, very simple to more robust, with a keyboard, very plain to lots of bling. I think that the mobile device companies have determined that their customers will be using their devices according to their own specific needs and will want to choose a case that suits those needs. If they threw in a “generic” cover, most customers would end up discarding it in favor of upgrading to a nicer case. It really doesn’t make financial sense for them to include a cover. Here’s the good news: If you bought Your iPad at Best Buy, like I did, you probably got a really good deal on it. And basic covers aren’t that expensive. Amazon usually has some good deals. But if you’re really just looking for “something“ to serve as a cover, and not concerned about quality, try AliExpress. Prices are cheap; can’t guarantee the workmanship. Anyway, enjoy your new iPad.
