“This appears to be the 8th generation (newest model) but the Best Buy algorithm is recommending the 1st general Apple Pencil which I thought only worked with the 7th generation and previous. Does this one work with both Apple pencils?”

According to Apple themselves, they said that the IPad only goes with the Apple Pencil from 1st generation. About the other pencil, I am not sure. But I believe it’s only for the 1st generation.
