Yes you can. First, you have to use the same ID and password on your iPad as your iPhone. On your iPad go to Settings/Messages and make sure iMessage is turned on, then tap Send&Receive. Add your iPhone mobile number, I also add my iPhone email addresses. That should do it. Just confirm what you added is also on your iPhone by also going to Settings/Messages/ Send&Receive. I’m not sure but this all may be automatic when you sign in to iPad using your iPhone ID since iOS 14.x upgrade Hope this helps!
