Yes you can. First, you have to use the same ID and password on your iPad as your iPhone. On your iPad go to Settings/Messages and make sure iMessage is turned on, then tap Send&Receive. Add your iPhone mobile number, I also add my iPhone email addresses. That should do it. Just confirm what you added is also on your iPhone by also going to Settings/Messages/ Send&Receive. I’m not sure but this all may be automatic when you sign in to iPad using your iPhone ID since iOS 14.x upgrade Hope this helps!

Yes as long as you set the iPad up with your apple ID you can set that feature up in settings, under messaging--send and receive.
