“Why will my iPad not charge on any cord but the one it came with?”

• It will charge with any standard apple charger just note that apple has moved away from a standard usb plug on the “brick” end (end that plugs into the walll) to a usb-c (smaller). But any recent iphone/ipad plug will work. However, note that the brick on an ipad is larger than the iphone and you should use the corresponding brick with that device though switch will work.
