I have one, but don’t use it. Depends on the utility. I use my iPad mostly for apps & internet. For more typing, such as excel, word, ppt, etc, I use my laptop.

No. There is an on screen keyboard that pops up when needed. If you prefer an actual keyboard, it’s easy to pair one with Bluetooth. Just FYI, if you DO decide to buy a keyboard, it does NOT have to be Apple brand to work. I’ve had a few small external keyboards from different companies and they have all worked perfectly. I’m talking $20 options over the $100s you’d spend on an Apple version, just so you know! Stay safe!

No. You can type on the iPad just like you would on a phone. However if you will be using it with Excel or Word I would recommend getting a keyboard.
