Why are some iPads sold open box? null

It's because customers have the grace period to return an item. Nothing is wrong with the item, but the customer may have had second thoughts about the item, didn't like the performance of the item, the item wasn't what they expected, or they simply wanted their money back. There may be other factors, but I know this is one reason.
