I have an iPad Air 2 with a LOT of photos on it. I also saved them in the iCloud. When I got my new iPad Air 3, I just logged into my iCloud account, and of course, my photos were there. When I got out of my iCloud account ... viola! my new iPad Air 3 had everything my old iPad Air 2 had! Just make sure your old iPad has everything backed up to your iCloud account first! Good luck!!
