“will the 64gb be enough memory or is 256 advisable for the Apple ipad pro 10.5"?”

Depends on what you’re going to use it for. If you’re not storing movies on it, I would say 64 GB would be enough, especially since you have access to iCloud and other third-party storage like Dropbox, both with their “free versions”. I read an article that said the 256GB was most cost-effective in terms of how much you are paying for storage per GB. I was going to just buy 64 GB since I always have bought most basic version of iPad. Decided to go with mid-level one of 256 GB after reading that article and thinking I may use video more on this iPad.

If you are going to store a lot of HD movies, then 256gb. Otherwise 64gb is enough.
