That is a rather subjective question that will depend on your specific circumstances. If you're just looking for a tablet to do casual web browsing around the house, maybe use it as an e-reader from time to time, and other "light" duties, the iPad Pro is probably overkill. If you're a student or business type, or you're looking for a laptop replacement tablet, the Pro is almost certainly worth the extra money. A student looking to take notes in class would probably love the Apple Pencil, which only works with the Pro, and a business user might like being able to sign documents and skipping the printing and scanning steps previously required. The Mini 2 has an A7 SoC with 1GB of RAM, whereas the iPad Pro has an A10X SoC with 4GB of RAM. That will net you both a significant increase in overall performance, but also greater longevity of the device's usefulness. It's only a matter of time before Apple decides supporting devices with only 1GB of RAM is more trouble than it's worth and the Mini 2 is left behind. It wouldn't surprise me if iOS 11 is the end of the road for devices with only 1GB of RAM. The screen size and RAM of the Mini 2 also prevent you from using Split View in iOS 11, which lets you run two apps side-by-side. However, if you can't afford the cost of a Pro right now, or the 10.5 inch screen is too large for your tastes, the Mini 2 will likely serve you well. Just because there's something with better on paper specs out there doesn't automatically mean it will be better for you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It’s not an Apples to Apples comparison. The 10.5 is fastest in fleet with second largest screen. 1st have to decide on the screen size you prefer. 2nd decide on your needs. If your trying to decide on returning the mini and get 10.5; That would be my suggestion. If trying to decide in having both, not a bad idea to have a main pad and mini backup.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I personally wouldn't buy mini I purchased the first model thinking it's better for my daughter back when she was little but she end up tossing it too small and too slow not worth the money I still have first generation iPad and the pro is my 6th it totally replace having a computer or laptop
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the iPad pro 10.5 is way better in pretty much every way. I would suggest getting one
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. On the technical specifications side, the iPad Pro 10.5 is years ahead in technology. If you just bought an old iPad, I would see whether or not the tech is good enough for everyday life. If not, i would highly consider buying this product.
