This model does not have cellular capability. This is a WiFi only model.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Only the cellular version iPads can be added to a phone account so that it could be used online without the need for Wi-Fi. Also there would be an extra monthly device fee from the carrier as well as an activation fee, and any data used would go against your overall cellular plan. If your carrier allows it, you can use your iPhone as a “hotspot” then connect a non-cellular iPad to the phone and use it anywhere you want as long as your phone is with you and has service wherever it is you’re trying to use it. When you turn your phone into a hotspot, it essentially becomes a router. You will be asked to create a password for it then your iPad will see your phone as a Wi-Fi device and you log onto it with that password….very simple process overall but again any data you use will go against your cell plan.
