How much extra is the keypad? null

I think it depends on the brand. Apple is expensive; other brand not so much.

Price depends on the keyboard type, and the iPad size. For these iPads, there are plain keyboards, and keyboard + trackpad options coming in May 2020. There are much cheaper alternatives than Apple’s, that have the same capabilities.
